PALMS PHYSIOTHERAPY & ALLIED HEALTH
Bring your baby along to an exercise class!
Palms Malaga doesn’t run a dedicated Mum’s & Bub’s class at this time, but babies in prams are welcome at selected classes including Strong Her, Reformer Pilates and Forever Fit. Enquire or book today.
At Palms Physiotherapy & Allied Health (Malaga), we don’t currently run a dedicated “Mum’s & Bub’s” class time slot — but you are absolutely welcome to bring your baby along in their pram to selected classes.
Many mums enjoy being able to move, strengthen and rebuild fitness without needing to organise childcare. If your baby is happy in the pram beside you, you can often participate comfortably and safely in a regular class.
✅ Mandatory requirement: All participants must complete an initial individual assessment before joining the group program. This ensures your exercises are safe, appropriate, and tailored to your goals and presentation.
This option can suit you if:
you’re newly postpartum or returning to exercise after a break
you want a structured class but need to bring bub along
you’re looking to build strength, stability, fitness and confidence
you’re happy for bub to stay settled in the pram beside you during class
If you have specific postnatal concerns (e.g., pelvic floor symptoms, abdominal separation, pain, prolapse symptoms), we recommend chatting with a physiotherapist first so we can guide you to the safest starting point.
Palms Physiotherapy & Allied Health offers a range of therapy services and specialised supports. You can browse by therapy area, explore specialised services, or learn more about the facilities and equipment we use in-clinic .
To keep the class safe and smooth for everyone:
Arrive a few minutes early to choose a pram-friendly spot.
Keep bub in the pram beside you (not on equipment).
You may need to step out briefly if bub needs feeding/settling — that’s okay.
Our team will help you modify exercises if needed.
We aim to keep things welcoming, supportive and practical — because sometimes the best exercise plan is the one you can actually attend.
We support children, adults and older adults with disability, injury, chronic conditions, developmental concerns, communication needs, mobility challenges and rehabilitation goals.
Suitable classes (baby in pram):
Bub must remain in the pram next to you for the duration of the class.
Find the right support by discipline, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, exercise physiology and other allied health services.
To ensure this remains safe for you, bub, and other class members:
Bub must stay secured in the pram for the class.
Please ensure pram placement doesn’t block walkways or equipment access.
If bub becomes unsettled, you’re welcome to step out and rejoin when ready.
Participation is subject to studio space and clinician/instructor discretion (we’ll always prioritise safety).
If you’re unsure whether a class is suitable for your stage of recovery, contact our team and we’ll guide you.
Do you offer a dedicated Mum’s & Bub’s class time?
Not currently. However, babies in prams are welcome at selected classes (Strong Her, Reformer Pilates, Forever Fit).
Can I bring bub out of the pram?
For safety reasons, bub needs to remain in the pram next to you during class.
What if bub cries or needs feeding?
Totally fine — you can step out to settle bub and rejoin when you’re ready.
Is this suitable if I’m freshly postpartum?
It depends on your delivery, recovery and symptoms. If you’re unsure, we recommend a quick check-in with a physiotherapist first—especially if you have pelvic floor symptoms, pain, heaviness, leaking, or abdominal separation concerns.
Can I bring a capsule instead of a pram?
Usually yes, as long as bub is safely secured and it fits beside you without blocking access. Contact us if you’re unsure about space.
Are there any limits?
Availability can depend on class size, studio layout and safety considerations. If a class is full, or space is limited, we may recommend another time.
At Palms Physiotherapy & Allied Health, our experienced team is here to help children & adults manage their condition & improve their quality of life.
