Kirsty

Bowering

Senior Physiotherapist & Director

Kirsty graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) in Perth, Western Australia in 2009. She has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings. Initially she started out in the acute hospital setting looking after post-operative rehabilitation patients and conducting Hydrotherapy Classes. She then moved into private practice where she has treated a wide variety of patients including private patients and insurance (workers compensation and motor vehicle).

Kirsty has undertaken specialised Clinical Pilates training with DMA Clinical Pilates to provide supervised rehabilitation specific to your injury or needs. This is a great way to help you recover fully from your injury and training your body to become stronger with day to day tasks that are required from you.

Kirsty has undertaken many Professional Development courses over the years as she believes it is so important to be up to date with the latest evidence to ensure you get the most out of your sessions. She is qualified in Dry Needling (sometimes referred to as Acupuncture). She has also been educated in Vestibular rehabiliation for those people who suffer with BPPV or dizziness related to the ear.

Kirsty has a keen interest in Women's Health (and is currently undertaking more study in this area). She is particularly interested in Pelvic Girdle Pain in Pregnancy and rehabilitation post Mastectomy - both are topics close to her heart, as she has experienced both! She also has an intellectually disabled sister, so is very empathetic to those in the NDIS system.

When she is not at work, she is busy with her husband and running around after her 3 young children.

Katie Webster

Physiotherapist

Katie understands that walking into physiotherapy rooms can be daunting for some.

Katie has joined us here at Palms Physiotherapy to offer reassurance and work with you to set achievable goals whether it be treating your neck and shoulder pain so you can hang out the washing, or your low back pain so you can pick up your children or be effective at work or sit comfortably at a desk;  improving your knee and ankle mobility so you can enjoy playing competitive netball or walk the tracks of Machu Pichu and tick that off your bucket list!

Whatever your goals big or small Katie is here to help using the latest evidence to treat a variety of conditions.

When not at work Katie can be found enjoying cooking and vegetable gardening and looking after the families’ horses and dogs. She also enjoys supporting her two children and husband in their various sporting endeavours. And in her “spare” spare time, an avid swimmer Katie has just taken up water polo which enables her to combine the water with her love of team sports. And goes to show it is never too late to start something new!
